To input expressions such as $\\displaystyle\\simplify[basic]{({a}*{b}-{c}/{d})/({m}({c}-{d}))+{a}}$ into your calculator ensure that you use brackets when needed, the fraction button when needed and ensure you navigate the cursur around with the arrow keys to input symbols where they are needed.

\n

\n

Arrows: On modern calculators the arrows allow you to move the cursur, for example to different levels of a fraction, out of a fraction, in between other symbols to insert something you forgot to type in previously.

\n

Brackets: If you use an open a bracket it is often necessary (or at least good practice) to have a closing bracket that pairs with it.

\n

Fractions: The fraction button on the modern Casio calculators looks like this $\\frac{\\square}{\\square}$ and on the Sharp calculators it looks like ${\\bf a}\\, ^b/_c$. The button that converts from fractions to decimals on the modern Casio calculators is $S\\leftrightarrow D$ and on the Sharp calculators it is the ${\\bf a}\\, ^b/_c$ button again.
