Tim Wilkinson
I was an undergraduate at Newcastle from 1984-1987. From 1987-1990 I did a PhD in Singularity Theory (a branch of pure maths) under the Supervision of Bill Bruce. From 1990-1991 I was a full-time lecturer in the maths department at Newcastle. For the next 25 years, I was an accountant, and am still a qualified FCA with the ICAEW. For most of this time I was Chief Accountant at the Railways Pension Scheme, which is one of the largest pension schemes in the country. I retired in 2016, and have recently started doing some part time work helping out with the e-learning project.
