Advice

Part 1

Move the decimal point "the power number" of times to the right for positive power and to the left for negative power:

$\var{num1} \times 10^\var{po[0]} = \var{ans1}$

$\var{num2} \times 10^\var{po1} = \var{ans2}$

Part 2

Count the nmber of times the decimal point has to be moved to get only one number to the left of the decimal point, this count becomes the power on the $\times 10$ .

If the decimal point is moved to the left the power number is positive and if it is moved to the right the power is negative:
