Thanks for the update. I've changed the worksheet to reflect the new worksheet, and will use NDerivative wherever I need a derivative and a numeric one is suitable.

The problem here is caused by GeoGebra, which for reasons known to itself adds about 8000 variables to the top-level scope, one of which is called 'ko'.
I posted a bug report on the GeoGebra forum, and Michael Borcherds has made a new version of the worksheet which avoids the CAS, which he reckons is the root of the problem.
