Determine the correct parametric representation of a given curve. Curve is randomly chosen from a set of 20.
The graph of the curve was not displayed on my machine.

Question in Content created by Newcastle University
Find the cosine of the angle between two pairs of 3D and 4D vectors.
The calculations and answers are correct, however the Advice should display the interim calculations of the lengths of vectors and their products to say 6dps. At present the student may be mislead into using 2dps at each stage - the instruction at the start of Advice is somewhat confusing.

Curl of a vector field.
Should warn that multiplied terms need * to denote multiplication.

Question in Content created by Newcastle University
Cartesian form of the parametric representation of a surface, normal vector, and magnitude.
Accuracy for part c) should be made more stringent as can be marked correct for an incorrect answer. Use a different sample range rather than 0 to 1 would help as would setting accuracy to something less than 0.001.

Question in Content created by Newcastle University
Given a piecewise CDF $F_X(b)$ which is discontinuous at several points, find the probabilities at those points and also find the value of $F_X(b)$ at a continuous point and the expectation.
This cdf is a step function and is therefore the cdf of a discrete random variable. This should be stated somewhere in the statement or the solution. Apart from this the question is correct.

Given a payoff table with two states and five actions, identify which actions are admissible, then the maximax, maximin, and minimax regret actions.
Should state that input is by integers or fractions. Also the maximax, maximin and minimax regret actions are not asked for.

Multiple response question (2 correct out of 4) covering properties of continuity and differentiability. Selection of questions from a pool.
Can choose true and false for each option. Also in one test run the second choice was incorrectly entered, rest correct, but the feedback indicates that the third was wrong.

Solve for $x$: $\displaystyle ax ^ 2 + bx + c=0$.
Entering the correct roots in any order is marked as correct. However, entering one correct and the other incorrect gives feedback stating that both are incorrect.
